Your Facebook Profile Through A Psychopath’s Eyes – Happy Halloween!

A trusted and intelligent reader of my blog suggested I share a privacy-related article and app called, “Take This Lollipop.”  I tested out the app and freaked out –  the app incorporated tagged photos of my children and my young niece and nephew and as a mother and aunt, this was frightening and horrific.   I calmed down and followed my own directions from my last article to easily remove the app.  Next, I had both of my children test out the app to see how they felt about it and to drive the point home to them.  The app provided all of us with a valuable and eye-opening lesson that will positively influence our on-line behavior.   I dare you to do the same!  If you are willing, please share your experiences in a comment on this blog.

Before going further, I want to emphasize that I am not Anti-Social Media.  I am 100% in favor of using Social Media as long as it is used safely and carefully with eyes wide open at all times.

Read Facebook’s End User License Agreement (EULA), you sign away all your photos and information to them to sell or use in ads. Whatever you post on facebook becomes their property, even if you delete your profile or you don’t upload a picture of yourself (say, a friend does).
