Remove your personal data from Nuwber

Opt out of nuwber

Nuwber is a relatively new people search engine that combines public information with White Pages data and social network information and it’s ranking high in search results when trying to locate personal information for an individual. To remove your information from Nuwber, follow these quick and easy steps:

Find personal data on Nuwber

Locate your information on Nuwber search engine

  • Determine which information is yours. (Apply this tutorial to each record that belongs to you.) Click on “View Full Result” and once you’ve confirmed this is your data, copy the URL for the next step.

NOTE: If you locate your information in an area shaded in green, then you need to remove your information from Instantcheckmate when you are done with your Nuwber removal(s).

Nuwber

Locate yourself and click “View Full Result.” I’ve removed myself from this site therefore none of this is mine.

Clicking on your name will provide your age, home address, a map, photo of your home and options to purchase more detailed information. No need to purchase anything – you know all the information about yourself already.

  • Click “Remove from Directory” and then paste the URL from the previous step into the box and click “Submit.”

Remove your information from Nuwber

  • You will be asked to confirm the information is yours and must provide an email address. You’ll also need to complete a verification test to prove you are not a robot. Then click “Remove.”

NOTE: You can only use an email address once when removing information from this site.

  • Go to your email account and click on the confirmation link for the removal in the email from Nuwber. (The second link in the email) You will get an immediate confirmation of removal.
  • You will receive a second email with confirmation of removal.
  • Go back to the start of this tutorial to verify your information came off immediately as expected and to locate the URL’s for any remaining information belonging to you.
  • If you still have additional URL’s with your information, you need to repeat the tutorial using a different email address or you can email Nuwber to remove the additional information. Be certain to paste each URL into the email.

NOTE: You may need to reach out to Nuwber several times because you will receive boilerplate responses telling you how to remove your information yourself  but you won’t be able to do it yourself unless you use different email addresses. Following up on your removals is the key to success. Do not assume the information is gone until you verify it has been removed.

While opting out of Nuwber, you will encounter a suggestion to use OneRep’s paid removal service. I haven’t confirmed the relationship between Nuwber and OneRep, however I am wary of sites that provide invasive personal information and simultaneously offer to remove it for a fee.  If you prefer to use a service rather than to do removals yourself, please evaluate the service carefully and understand exactly what you can expect and what removals are guaranteed before proceeding. If you need clarification on this, please reach out with questions or schedule a free phone consultation.

Stay tuned for directions for removing yourself from OneRep!

Congratulations on your son being a lawyer.

I (me, and what-is-privacy.com) am not affiliated with any site that publishes personal data and I do not publish personal information belonging to others on my website therefore your inquiry has come to the incorrect business.

To remove online information, I provide free tutorials on my website and I’ll answer questions on my tutorials if they are asked in a comment on the article in question.

Here is a link to all of my tutorials. Hope you find them helpful.

Thank you SO MUCH for this tutorial! I was shocked and appalled with how much info about me was shown on Nuwber. I immediately searched for how to remove it and your tutorial appeared. Every step was perfect and I followed it completely. My profile on Nuwber has already been removed. Thank you again!!

So, just to be sure I understand. In order to remove my information I have to verify my information? Then provide you with a current email address so that you’ll have additional information? This is beyond asinine. I’ve never put my address on social media, and the fact that ya’ll are just posting it out here with my full name is beyond intrusive. IDK how you got half of this information, but it’s extremely dangerous to put people out in the public like this. Not only has my life been placed in danger, but the lives of my family have been placed in danger as well. I’ll be seeking legal council immediately.

I’m guessing you intended your comment to go to Nuwber which is the site publishing your data. I wrote a free tutorial explaining how to opt out but I don’t share anyone’s data in the course of my business at all. If you reply and tell me you are interested, I will email you a summary of the paid services I offer in addition to the free tutorials for you to remove yourself from a handful of the many, many, many sites that do the same thing as Nuwber. They get their data from public records and although it is dangerous and annoying and inconvenient, it’s unfortunately perfectly legal.

I tried to email you privately but the email address you provided does not exist. Hope you see this comment and that it is helpful.

This is how I remove someone on my list (deceased relatives) for this site…
Remove them from instantcheckmate & truthfinder – wait a couple of weeks
I also find ALL their addresses on Houziz and remove
Now go to Nuwber and copy/paste URL’s, info listed and email them support(at)Nuwber
When you receive their “form” email – reply with the same copied info (URL/Info)

I am trying to remove myself, but the confirmation email never comes through. I am fed up with all these sites as I keep removing myself over and over from new ones. Anyway, I have written to the ftc.gov because refusal to remove me is ILLEGAL.

There really should be a class action lawsuite

Currently, it is not a legal obligation for any of these sites to remove you because they are sharing information that originates in public records. This is about to change as more states join California with privacy regulations. But none are in effect just yet. (With the exception of the GDPR which only helps people in the EU)

Check your junk folder – the confirmation is likely in there because I have not ever had a problem with not receiving the confirmation email from this site. Other possible answer is you may have them blocked and depending on your own settings, perhaps you are unable to receive an email from them? My bet is on it being in your spam or junk folder. (I skim my junk mail before deleting it.)

    Hi Haley,
Is there any way you can delete the December 9, 2017 at 12:05 pm comment so my name won’t come up in this search. Thank you!

Of course. I am so sorry it came up in search – most people don’t use their full name so that usually prevents that from happening.

Nonetheless, I edited out your last name and removed your partial address information. I also removed temporary cache for you so it stops showing up in Google but please give that a few days to take effect. 🙂 Hayley

It says that the link is incorrect. They are trying to get me to purchase this information. I am a domestic violence survivor and moved over 850 miles away to be safe. These websites are dangerous for abuse survivors.

          Hi Janine,
If you follow the steps in the tutorial carefully, it will show you how to find the link to your information to provide to Nuwber for your removal. If you have difficulty after following the tutorial, let me know and I will help you like I helped Ann, but I need to know your full name, city and state in order to remove it for you. (Don’t put it in this comment thread; email it to me privately if you can’t find it yourself. But it’s easy to find.)

Additionally, here is a link to all of my opt out tutorials in one place: https://what-is-privacy.com/category/opt-out-2/ I answer questions on all of my removal tutorials via the comment thread so others can benefit too. (no charge, of course)

I also offer a variety of paid online information removal services. My most common service removes personal data from approximately 75 broker directories. (ie. MyLife, Nuwber, whitepages etc.) If you are interested in my removal service, reach out via my contact form.

          Hello Ivy,
You should manage to do it quite easily by following the steps in this tutorial that you have left your comment on. Alternatively, you can pay me a small fee to do it for you. If you want that, simply use the contact form on my website to email me directly and we’ll go from there.

Clicking on details can lead you to several different sites because Nuwber picks up it’s information from other sites. Sadly, there are several hundred broker directory sites out there. Getting out of them feels a bit like “Whack-a-mole.”

Essentially, you’ve discovered you now need to also opt out of Truthfinder because their information is being picked up by Nuwber. And on the process goes. But you have to start somewhere so …

… follow the directions closely in the tutorial to opt out of Nuwber. The first opt out is simple and fast. It slows down if you have more than one record on the site. Please keep me posted on your result, if possible. Good luck. 🙂 Hayley

          Hi Brad,

It varies dramatically and can clear in hours, days, weeks or months which I know is not a very satisfying answer. The length of time is determined by how often Google sends it bots to crawl the site to update the results to match the content that is actually on the website. Some sites are crawled multiple times a day and others with very little activity may only be crawled every few months. If you are still seeing your info in search results about two weeks after you completed your removals, then reach out to me privately by email and I can help. But be certain to make sure all of your information has been fully removed from Nuwber first by searching for yourself carefully on Nuwber after reading this.

          Good Luck.

          🙂 Hayley
